In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful "Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul, unless for a soul, or for corruption in the land, it is as if he had killed humankind entirely" (The Holy Quran, Al-Ma-ida, 5: 32). "And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him, and has cursed him, and has prepared for him a great torment" (Al-Nisa, 4: 93). "If you do good, you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil, (you do it) to yourselves. Then, when the latter (final) promise came, they (your enemies) will sadden your faces, and to enter the Masjid (in Jerusalem), as they entered it the first time, and will destroy what they had taken over with (total) destruction (Al-Isra, 17: 7). *** While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son). After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD. By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD. So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents. No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians. No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since. This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948. The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

In a press statement issued on Sunday evening, McCain described the current situation in the Gaza Strip as dangerous, stressing the urgent need to allow the immediate entry of humanitarian aid to meet the needs of the Strip’s population. T.R. *** New strain of influenza spreads in Gaza amid severe medicine shortages due to the blockade Sunday 31-August-2025 GAZA, (PIC) Gaza’s Government Media Office (GMO) confirmed the wide spread of a new strain of influenza in the Gaza Strip amid a severe shortage of medicines caused by the Israeli blockade and the ongoing war of extermination. In a statement on Sunday, the GMO explained that in recent days, especially among displaced people in shelters, as well as among patients and children in particular, there has been a sharp and widespread outbreak of this new influenza strain, under catastrophic health conditions caused by the Israeli blockade and ongoing genocide. The rapid spread was attributed to extreme overcrowding, lack of water and ventilation, and the collapse of health services due to the war and Israeli restrictions, posing a direct threat to the lives of the most vulnerable groups. It noted that the few hospitals still operating are handling this wave of illness amid severe shortages of staff and medical supplies, relying only on primary care and symptomatic treatments, without comprehensive treatment protocols, due to the Israeli “criminal measures”. The GMO stressed that infections are estimated in the thousands across all governorates of the Gaza Strip, with daily increases, particularly among children, the elderly, and patients with chronic diseases. It added that no specific or effective medicines for this strain are available in Gaza; and if they exist, they are in extremely limited quantities, virtually nonexistent, because of the Israeli ongoing prevention of dozens of essential medicines from entering, in clear violation of Article (56) of the Fourth Geneva Convention, which obligates it to provide medical care to populations under occupation. The GMO held Israel and the US administration fully responsible for the deterioration of health conditions in the Gaza Strip, and called on the international community, as well as Arab and Islamic states, to intervene to stop the genocide, open the crossings, lift the blockade, and bring in medicines before it is too late. *** Human rights center calls for pressuring Israel to reveal fate of missing Palestinians Sunday 31-August-2025 GAZA, (PIC) The Palestinian Center for the Missing and Forcibly Disappeared has called on the international community to take serious and effective action to compel Israel to reveal the fate of Palestinians forcibly disappeared in its prisons and to provide information about the missing, including mass and temporary graves established inside or outside the Gaza Strip. In a statement released Sunday, the center said August 30, marked as the International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances, is an occasion to highlight the tragedy faced by at least 8,000 Palestinian families who have lost a loved one during Israel’s ongoing military aggression against Gaza, now approaching two years. The statement noted that this occasion comes as Palestinians are enduring one of the most brutal manifestations of this tragedy in Gaza, especially following nearly two years of a genocidal war launched by Israel since October 7, 2023. According to the center, thousands of families have lost multiple members, some arrested and transferred by Israeli forces to unknown locations inside Israel, while others have vanished following military raids, home bombings, or during forced displacement. The center emphasized that thousands of Palestinian families are still desperately seeking any clue regarding their loved ones’ fate, some of whom are held arbitrarily in Israeli prisons without appropriate legal procedures, others forcibly disappeared under inhumane conditions, or trapped under rubble with no permission granted for their bodies to be recovered, or buried in unidentified graves established by the occupation. The center warned that Israel’s recent announcement of a new military operation in southern, eastern, and northern neighborhoods of Gaza, as part of its plan to occupy the city and impose military control, foreshadows a growing list of missing and forcibly disappeared individuals. It stressed that this phenomenon has become more visible during Israel’s large-scale incursions in various parts of Gaza to carry out complex war crimes. The center reiterated that enforced disappearance is a crime against humanity under international law, exposing Israel’s systematic policy to erase the identity of victims and deny their families the right to truth. It further explained that denying families access to information about the fate of their loved ones, or the ability to recover and bury their bodies with dignity, deepens their daily suffering and prolongs their grief indefinitely. The center also reported receiving hundreds of alerts regarding missing individuals in areas of Israeli incursion or near aid distribution points set up by the occupation in Rafah and southern Gaza City. It stressed that Israel’s systematic targeting of civil defense teams and repeated destruction of their equipment has severely hindered their ability to rescue or recover victims from under rubble caused by constant bombardment. The ongoing crisis of the missing and forcibly disappeared in Palestine, the center said, is further evidence of Israel’s genocide against Palestinians. It emphasized that uncovering the truth and ending enforced disappearances is a non-negotiable human right, and that silence on such crimes amounts to complicity in their continuation. In conclusion, the Palestinian Center for the Missing and Forcibly Disappeared called on the international community to take immediate and effective action to compel Israel to reveal the fate of all missing and forcibly disappeared Palestinians since the start of the aggression and before it. It also urged that international organizations, particularly the International Committee of the Red Cross, be granted unconditional access to detainees and prisoners. Finally, the center demanded that Israel end its policy of withholding bodies and allow families to properly mourn and bury their loved ones in accordance with tradition and human dignity. *** ****** Gaza death toll surges to 63,459 amid ongoing Israeli genocide GAZA, August 31, 2025 (WAFA) – At least 88 Palestinians were killed and 421 others were injured in the Gaza Strip over the last 24 hours as a result of the ongoing Israeli genocide in the region, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza. The Ministry confirmed that the Palestinian death toll from the Israeli onslaught since October 2023 has risen to 63,459 fatalities, with an additional 160,256 people sustaining injuries. The majority of the victims are women and children. According to the Ministry, the death toll since Israel’s resumption of the genocide on March 18 after a two-month truce has also climbed to 11,328, in addition to 48,215 others injured. Emergency services are still unable to reach many casualties and dead bodies trapped under the rubble or scattered on roads across the war-torn enclave, as Israeli occupation forces continue to target ambulance and civil defense crews, according to the health authorities. Israel's genocidal onslaught continues undeterred despite calls from the United Nations Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza. M.N. *** Gaza: Civilians killed during onging Israeli shelling on various areas GAZA, August 31, 2025 (WAFA) – Several citizens were killed Sunday evening as a result of the ongoing Israeli shelling targeting various areas in the Gaza Strip. Local sources said that Osama Muhammad Miqdad, a resident of Al-Shaboura refugee camp, was killed near the Al-Tina aid center in Khan Yunis. Meanwhile, Enas Saber Abu Warda and her three children were killed as a result of the Israeli shelling of their home in the Bir al-Na'ja area, north of the Gaza Strip. A shelling targeting a tent near the Al-Sawarha cemetery, southwest of Nuseirat, also resulted in the killing and injuries of several others. For their part, sources in Gaza hospitals confirmed that 30 citizens have been killed since dawn today by Israeli forces' fire, including 16 aid seekers. Medical sources confirmed that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, which has been ongoing since October 7, 2023, has risen to 63,459, the majority of whom are children and women, while the number of injuries has reached 160,256, while a number of victims are still under the rubble, amid the inability of ambulance and rescue crews to reach them. K.T. *** 80 Palestinians killed, including 31 aid seekers, by Israeli targeting in Gaza GAZA, August 31, 2025 (WAFA) – Eighty citizens were killed in the Gaza Strip between dawn and Sunday evening as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression on various areas of the Strip. According to medical sources, the fatalities were distributed among hospitals as follows: 7 at Al-Shifa Hospital, 5 at Sheikh Radwan Clinic, 9 at Al-Awda Hospital, 14 at Al-Aqsa Hospital, and 25 at Nasser Hospital. No fatalities were recorded being taken to Al-Ma'amoud Hospital. Medical sources indicated that among the slain people were 31 citizens seeking humanitarian aid, who were killed as a result of direct Israeli targeting while trying to obtain relief. This comes amid the ongoing aggression and blockade, and the prevention of ambulance and rescue crews from reaching many targeted sites. The death toll is likely to rise in the coming hours. K.T. *** Eight civilians killed in Israeli airstrike on residential apartment east of Gaza City GAZA, August 31, 2025 (WAFA) – Eight Palestinian civilians were killed and several others injured on Sunday evening in an Israeli airstrike targeting a residential apartment in Al-Quds Tower, east of Gaza City. WAFA correspondent reported that the Israeli airstrike targeted a residential apartment located in Al-Quds Tower, east of Gaza City, resulting in the killing of eight civilians and the wounding of several others. Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation have been launching a relentless aggression on the Gaza Strip, resulting in the killing of 63,459 Palestinians, mostly children and women, and injuring 160,256 others. These figures remain incomplete, as many victims remain trapped under rubble or stranded in the streets, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue teams. T.R. *** Israeli strikes on Gaza City and central Strip kill several civilians, injure others Gaza, August 31, 2025 (WAFA) – Several civilians were killed and others injured on Sunday evening in Israeli shelling targeting Gaza City and central Gaza. WAFA correspondents reported the killing of a female and injuries to others after the Israeli occupation forces had struck the top floor of a residential Tower near the Saraya Junction. Meanwhile, two civilians were killed and others were injured by Israeli artillery fire on a residential apartment near a residential Tower in Al-Rimal neighborhood, west of Gaza City. Four people were also killed and others injured in an Israeli attack on a gathering of civilians in central Dair El-Bala'h. Additionally, a female was killed in Israeli artillery shelling targeting Al-Musaddar area, south of Al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza. Since October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have been launching a relentless aggression on the Gaza Strip, resulting in the killing of 63,459 civilians, mostly women and children, and injuring 160,256 others. These figures remain incomplete, as many victims remain trapped under rubble or stranded in the streets, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue teams. T.R. *** Israel blows up 80 booby-trapped robots in residential neighborhoods in Gaza City Sunday 31-August-2025 GAZA, (PIC) The Palestinian Government Media Office (PGMO) said that the Israeli occupation army detonated more than 80 booby-trapped robots in residential neighborhoods in Gaza City over the past three weeks, confirming that more than one million Palestinians in Gaza and the north refuse to be displaced to the south. It added that the Israeli occupation army continues to commit systematic and grave crimes against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, in blatant violation of international law and international humanitarian law. The statement pointed out that these crimes include the targeting of unarmed civilians, including children and women, and the forced displacement of residents in a crime of mass forced transfer that meets all elements of war crimes. The PGMO stressed that detonating robots is part of a criminal pattern that reflects a scorched-earth policy during Israel’s ground operations against residents and civilian neighborhoods, leading to large-scale destruction of homes and property and exposing civilians to grave dangers. The occupation army also continues to commit the crime of starvation against more than 2.4 million people in the Gaza Strip, including over one million in Gaza City and the north, by deliberately preventing the entry of food and water, in clear violation of Article (54) of Additional Protocol I to the Geneva Conventions. The statement noted that this starvation policy has already caused the deaths of more than 332 people, including 124 children, stressing that this is accompanied by systematic destruction of what remains of the healthcare system, and deliberate targeting of essential elements of civilian life, with the aim of eliminating any possibility of normal life continuing. The PGMO confirmed that more than one million Palestinians remain in Gaza City, refusing to succumb to forced displacement and ethnic cleansing, affirming their legendary steadfastness in the face of the Israeli war machine. The statement saluted the resilience of the heroic Palestinian people, strongly condemned the Israeli occupation army’s ongoing crimes against civilians, and held Israel and the US administration fully responsible for the continuation of this genocide. The PGMO called on the international community, with all its institutions and bodies, to take a serious and effective stance to immediately stop these crimes, halt the ongoing genocide, protect civilians, and hold Israeli leaders accountable for their crimes before the competent international courts. *** On day 695, Israel steps up its attacks on Gaza Sunday 31-August-2025 GAZA, (PIC) The Israeli occupation continues its campaign of genocide against the Gaza Strip for the 695th consecutive day on Sunday, using air and artillery bombardments to kill starving civilians and displaced persons, backed by US political and military support, and enabled by international silence and unprecedented global failure. According to PIC correspondents, the occupation forces launched dozens of airstrikes and committed additional massacres, exacerbating the suffering of more than two million displaced people facing severe famine. Heavy attacks and rising death toll Medical sources in Gaza hospitals confirmed that several civilians were martyred by Israeli fire since early Sunday morning, as the occupation escalated its aggression against the Strip. An Israeli drone targeted the Al-Birka area in Dair El-Bala'h. Local sources reported that the occupation detonated four booby-trapped robots to demolish homes in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast Gaza City, the explosions echoed across the southern Gaza Strip. Warplanes also struck the Al-Katiba area in Khan Yunis at dawn. An Israeli quadcopter drone opened fire in eastern Gaza City. A home in the Abu Iskandar area, north of Gaza City, was also bombed by Israeli jets. Two martyrs and several injuries were reported after Israeli aircraft targeted displaced persons’ tents in the Maqousi area, northwest Gaza City. Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat reported receiving 10 martyrs within the past 24 hours, including two children and three women, as well as 34 wounded, including three children. These casualties resulted from Israeli attacks on civilians near an aid distribution point south of Wadi Gaza, in central Gaza. Thirteen of the wounded were transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital for further treatment. Medical sources also confirmed that 85 civilians were killed on Saturday alone due to the ongoing aggression. The genocide escalates With full US support, Israel is waging an extermination campaign on Gaza that, according to the Ministry of Health, has led to 63,371 martyrs, 159,835 wounded, over 10,000 missing persons, widespread famine, causing dozens of deaths, and more than 2 million forcibly displaced people. Since May 27, when Israel turned limited aid distribution points into death traps, there have been 2,218 martyrs, 16,434 injuries, and 45 missing persons in these areas. These figures include victims linked to the so-called “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation”—an Israeli-American project rejected by the UN, which is used to impose a deadly “aid-for-subjugation” equation under the cover of humanitarian relief. Deaths due to famine and malnutrition have also risen to 332, including 124 children. *** ý*** Killing, Injuring, and Abduction of Palestinians in the West Bank by Israeli Occupation Regime Forces ***ý Five injured by live ammunition during Israeli raid on refugee camp in Hebron HEBRON, August 31, 2025 (WAFA) – Five Palestinians were injured by live ammunition and several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation on Sunday evening during an Israeli military raid on Al-Fawwar refugee camp, south of Hebron, according to local sources. Sources told WAFA that Israeli forces stormed the camp, amid the firing of live bullets, stun grenades, and tear gas canisters, shooting and injuring five Palestinian residents, including a young woman. The injured were transferred to Yatta Governmental Hospital for treatment. Dozens of others were treated at the scene for tear gas suffocation. T.R. *** Two Palestinians injured, three detained in colonists’ attack on village south of Hebron HEBRON, August 31, 2025 (WAFA) – A Palestinian man and his wife were injured on Sunday evening in a colonists’ attack on the village of Khirbet Khallet a-Dabe’ in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, according to a local activist. Local activist Osama Makhamareh told WAFA that colonists raided residents' homes in the said village, assaulted their residents, causing injuries and bruises to a man and his wife. They were both treated at the scene. Colonists also briefly detained several villagers before holding three youths and taking them to an unknown location. The colonists also stole animal feed belonging to one of the residents. T.R. *** Israeli occupation forces disperse Hebron rally demanding release of withheld bodies HEBRON, August 31, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces stormed a rally on Sunday at Ibn Rushd Square in Hebron, where Palestinians had gathered to demand the release of the bodies of slain Palestinians held by Israel. Soldiers fired tear gas canisters to disperse participants, causing several cases of suffocation. Before the raid, participants in the rally had called for the release of 726 bodies withheld by Israel, including those of 67 children, 85 prisoners, and 10 women. They appealed to human rights organizations and the United Nations to take serious action to ensure the release of the bodies. Last week, Israeli forces suppressed a similar rally in Ramallah, injuring 58 Palestinians with live ammunition, rubber-coated steel bullets, and tear gas. M.N. *** *** Aggression and Attacks by Illegal Israeli Settlers and Soldiers *** Note: Despite the Trump administration support for the Israeli occupation apartheid regime, the U.S. official policy is still considering the Israeli settlement activities in the Palestinian territories as illegal. *** Colonists attack Palestinian homes near Bethlehem, seize contents BETHLEHEM, August 31, 2025 (WAFA) – Colonists attacked Palestinian homes in the village of Kisan, east of Bethlehem, on Sunday, seizing their contents after forcing the residents out of the village, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces. Ahmad Ghazal, Secretary of the Fatah Movement in Kisan, told a WAFA correspondent that a group of colonists attacked Palestinian homes in the Sahba area, adjacent to the Umm Zutina community in the village, forcibly evicting residents before seizing their contents. Ghazal added that this attack is part of a series of ongoing violations by colonists in an attempt to empty the land of its indigenous inhabitants and establish colonial pastoral outposts in their place. He pointed out that the Israeli occupation forces provided full protection to the attackers. He explained that the Kisan desert has been subjected to repeated attacks by colonists in recent weeks, leading to the displacement of dozens of families from their lands and the demolition of their homes in the Wadi Ubayyan and Deir Alla areas, as well as the seizure of thousands of dunums of agricultural and pastoral land, in preparation for the establishment of new colonial outposts, amid a clear absence of the role of human rights and international institutions in confronting these violations. K.T. *** Settler attacks, IOFs raids reported in the West Bank Sunday 31-August-2025 WEST BANK, (PIC) The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) carried out a series of overnight and early morning raids on Sunday across several Palestinian cities and towns in the West Bank, accompanied by heavy military deployment and restrictions on civilian movement. Local sources reported that the IOFs stormed the Nablus Street area in the city of Qalqilya. In Salfit, a similar incursion took place with widespread deployment of IOFs troops and assaults on residents and their properties. In al-Khalil, Israeli troops stopped and searched vehicles during a raid in the city of Yatta, in the southern part of the governorate. They also stormed the town of Sa’ir and deployed across several neighborhoods in the city. In Nablus, the town of Beita was raided multiple times throughout the night and early dawn. Simultaneously, the IOFs also stormed the town of Tuqu’ southeast of Bethlehem. In Ramallah and Al-Bireh, a military force raided the area around Al-Am’ari refugee camp, coinciding with a new settler attack, in which a Jewish settler stole Palestinian property in the Al-Khalayel area near the town of Al-Mughayir, northeast of Ramallah. These raids are part of the IOFs' daily strategy to tighten its grip on Palestinians through continuous invasions, coupled with an alarming rise in settler violence targeting land and property. Widespread Palestinian calls have been issued urging escalation of resistance and confrontation against the Israeli forces and settlers throughout the West Bank. Meanwhile, a group of Jewish settlers have seized dozens of dunums of Palestinian agricultural land in the northern Jordan Valley and have begun plowing the land. Human rights activist Aref Daraghmeh reported that settlers plowed approximately 50 dunums of “uncultivated” farmland near Ain al-Sakout in the northern Jordan Valley, a clear signal of land seizure. The Jordan Valley region is witnessing an intensified campaign by settlers against Palestinian residents and their property. These attacks include physical assaults, livestock theft, and the sabotage and theft of water networks, all with the goal of pushing Palestinians to abandon their lands. Backed by IOFs, settlers have escalated land seizures across the occupied West Bank to establish new settlement outposts. *** Jerusalem Governorate: Occupation destroys Islamic Umayyad artifacts beneath Al-Aqsa to conceal historical facts JERUSALEM, August 31, 2025 (WAFA) - The Jerusalem Governorate clarified today, Sunday, that leaked videos have revealed illegal excavation and demolition operations carried out by the Israeli occupation authorities beneath the Al-Aqsa Mosque, deliberately targeting Islamic artifacts dating back to the Umayyad period, which serve as living proof and conclusive evidence of the Muslims' rightful ownership of the site. The Governorate stated that the occupation authorities are working to destroy these Islamic archaeological landmarks with the aim of erasing the historical identity of Al-Aqsa and falsifying the facts in favor of the alleged "Temple Mount" narrative. This, it emphasized, constitutes a direct assault on human heritage and Islamic civilization, and a blatant violation of international laws and conventions protecting cultural heritage. The Governorate also reported that these excavations are being carried out in secret or semi-secret, far from any international oversight, which increases the risks to the foundations of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and its historical landmarks. “This threatens to undermine its architectural stability and to destroy invaluable historical evidence.” The Governorate, in a statement, pointed out that the Israeli occupation seeks, through these actions, to impose new facts on the ground that serve its settlement projects and plans to Judaize the city. It warned that the continued destruction and removal of these Umayyad Islamic artifacts is a systematic crime aimed at targeting the Palestinian and Islamic memory and identity. The Jerusalem Governorate stressed that what is happening beneath the Al-Aqsa Mosque is a major crime against history and humanity, calling on the international community, UNESCO, and the United Nations to intervene immediately to stop these violations and hold the occupation accountable for its crimes. It emphasized that Al-Aqsa, with its artifacts and history, will remain an integral part of the Islamic Ummah's identity that cannot be erased or falsified. T.R. *** *** News Related to the Israeli Genocidal War on the Palestinian People *** Protests across Europe demand an end to genocide in Gaza Sunday 31-August-2025 VENICE, (PIC) Thousands of people demonstrated on Saturday in several European countries, including Italy and Germany, calling for an end to the war of extermination and starvation waged by Israel against the Gaza Strip. In Italy, thousands joined a major protest held on the sidelines of the Venice Film Festival. Organized by leftist groups, the demonstration featured banners demanding an end to the ongoing genocide in Gaza and calling for a boycott of Israel. In Frankfurt, Germany, thousands rallied under the slogan “United for Gaza.” According to Al Jazeera, the scene in Frankfurt was unprecedented in the context of protests against the war on Gaza, with organizers estimating up to 100,000 participants. Police intensified their presence around the demonstration and stated they would act firmly against any unauthorized or unlawful slogans. Local authorities had previously banned the protest, but the High Administrative Court overturned the decision, affirming the organizers’ right to hold the event. In Rotterdam, Netherlands, a protest was held urging the international community to intervene urgently to end Israel’s genocidal war in Gaza. Participants condemned the ongoing massacres and starvation in Gaza, denouncing what they described as the shameful silence of the international community. Protesters also raised slogans demanding the lifting of the blockade on Gaza, the delivery of food and medical aid, an end to the occupation, and accountability for Israeli war criminals and all those complicit in the genocide. In Brussels, dozens of doctors gathered outside the European Parliament in solidarity with Gaza. Responding to a call from Palestinian doctors in Europe, participants issued an appeal to the international community to save Gaza’s collapsing healthcare system. Protesters condemned Israeli strikes targeting hospitals and medical personnel, as well as the blockade preventing the entry of medicines and humanitarian aid, calling it a violation of international law and human rights. In Oslo, Norway’s capital, demonstrators demanded an end to Israel’s war on Gaza. They urged their government to intensify diplomatic efforts to secure an immediate ceasefire and allow humanitarian aid into Gaza. Protesters also condemned what they saw as European governments’ failure to respond to the acts of genocide committed by Israel against Palestinians. In Stockholm, activists held a symbolic funeral for journalists killed by Israeli fire in Khan Yunis. *** Over 150 media outlets join global campaign to condemn killings of Palestinian journalists in Gaza RAMALLAH, August 31, 2025 (WAFA) - Over 150 media outlets from over 50 countries are preparing for a major media campaign on 1 September, coordinated by Reporters Without Borders (RSF) and the global campaigning movement Avaaz. “These newsrooms, RSF and Avaaz condemn the crimes against Palestinian reporters perpetrated with impunity by the Israeli army, call for the protection and emergency evacuation of Gaza’s journalists and demand that foreign press be given independent access to the Gaza Strip,” said a statement issued by Reporters Without Borders (RSF) and Avaaz. The media operation is scheduled for Monday, 1 September, swiftly following the latest deadly strikes by the Israeli army against journalists in the Gaza Strip. “The Israeli army killed five journalists in two strikes on Monday, 25 August. Just two weeks earlier, it similarly killed six journalists in a single strike. Since 7 October 2023, over 210 Palestinian journalists have been killed by the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip. We reject this deadly new norm, which week after week brings new crimes against Palestinian journalists that go unpunished. We say it loud and clear: at the rate journalists are being killed in Gaza by the Israeli army, there will soon be no one left to keep you informed. More than 150 media outlets worldwide have joined together for a major operation on Monday, 1 September, at the call of RSF and Avaaz. This campaign calls on world leaders to do their duty: stop the Israeli army from committing these crimes against journalists, resume the evacuation of the journalists who wish to leave Gaza, and ensure the foreign press has independent access to the Palestinian territory.” Said Thibaut Bruttin, Executive Director of RSF. More than 150 media outlets in over 50 countries around the world are preparing to join the operation on Monday, 1 September. They include numerous daily newspapers and news websites: Mediapart (France), Al Jazeera (Qatar), The Independent (United Kingdom), +972 Magazine (Israel/Palestine), Local Call (Israel/Palestine), InfoLibre (Spain), Forbidden Stories (France), Frankfurter Rundschau (Germany), Der Freitag (Germany), RTVE (Spain), L'Humanité (France), The New Arab (United Kingdom), Daraj (Lebanon), New Bloom (Taiwan), Photon Media (Hong Kong), La Voix du Centre (Cameroon), Guinée Matin (Guinea), The Point (Gambia), L'Orient Le Jour (Lebanon), Media Today (South Korea), N1 (Serbia), KOHA (Kosovo), Public Interest Journalism Lab (Ukraine), Il Dubbio (Italy), Intercept Brasil (Brazil), Agência Pública (Brazil), Le Soir (Belgium), La Libre (Belgium), Le Desk (Morocco), Semanario Brecha (Uruguay)... and many others. To end the impunity that allows the Israeli army to continue committing these crimes, RSF has filed four complaints with the International Criminal Court (ICC) for war crimes committed by the Israeli army against journalists in the Gaza Strip over the past 22 months. RSF also supports Palestinian journalists on the ground, particularly in Gaza, through partnerships with local organizations such as Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism (ARIJ). This aid program provides material, psychological and professional assistance to Palestinian journalists. “Avaaz means ‘voice’ - and right now, the world’s media must use theirs. At least 210 journalists have been killed in Gaza, and the foreign press remains locked out. This is a direct assault on press freedom and the truth itself. This is a chance for the media to send an unmistakable message: stop killing journalists, open Gaza to the press, and let the media do its job.” T.R. *** =============================================================================================================================== Editorial
